Sometimes it is a written exchange. Sometimes it is a small composition against your position, to see whether the substrate reads at the altitude the decision needs.
Nothing commits you to anything yet. The scoping is what tells both sides whether BearingA is the right composer for your compound configuration, and at what shape: a single read, a subscription, a deployment, a partnership.
